Description
Interpretation design provides a fascinating journey into the hidden realms of places by providing insight into the historical, cultural or emotional significance of a physical geography or space.
To engage children, good interpretation design looks to do more than just reduce or dilute information originally targeted at adults. In the case of the Kids Discovery Trail, the Point Nepean National Park looked to create a uniquely child-centred experience drawing on iconic shapes and figures from around the park.
In addition to the Discovery Trail, the main suite of interpretation panels and signs at Fort Nepean also featured a layer of information directly tailored to a child's experience of this amazing natural and historical site.
